The bridge over the river Kwae and trains
This excursion is arranged every Friday (if you are more than 6 adults, it is also possible to book another day). You will be picked up by transfer from your accommodation at 06:30 and will be back around 19:00. The journey goes west towards River Kwai in Kanchanaburi, the country’s warmest province. At the JEATH Museum, prisoners of war tell themselves, without words, about their experiences. The bridge over the river Kwai, famous from the movie of the same name, is an obvious place to visit.
From Kanchanaburi, we continue by train along the narrow-gauge Railway of Death that takes us through sugar cane and tapioca plantations, over creaky wooden bridges and not least through beautiful nature. After lunch we get even closer to nature with the help of calm, kind elephants.
